EVOLUTION OF TRENDS
Evolution of New York trends…in the ‘80’s it was loose sneakers to the point…then Mayor…Mayor Koch made a statement “young men tie your shoes…be professional.” And now it is loose jeans…when will SOMEONE say something!!!
It's not our place to make a comment...sooner or later they will grow up and realize how ridiculous they look...I suppose during the day, the Zoot suit was a topic of contention at the dinner table! Now I look at old photos of those men daring enough and think how fabulous they looked...time gilds most fashion faux pas...later than sooner...
When I was a teenagerI wore my jeans so tight I couldn't breathe. Had to lay down to zip them up. I think it's about growing up and becoming more confident so you don't have to follow the crowd.
