  1. Valentino's show was splendid!! Most of the colors he showed were black and white with red thrown in for a splash.
    Pure Valentino.

  3. Galliano drew textures and shapes from flowers that were influenced by photographs by Irving Penn and Nick Knight. Giving his designs a 3-D effect, job well done indeed.

  4. Yes indeed! I love the Valentino fashion show. Additionally, checkout the Chanel Fall-winter 2010 collection that just showed this past Tuesday in Grand Palais, Paris. What stately, strong and elegance collection; with a matching statement for this collections runway!

  8. For men, Hermes showed their silk pocket squares rolled and tied around the neck with plenty of silk vests with shirts nearly unbuttoned.
Silk was the dominant fabric for spring from Hermes.

  9. For the ladies, Hot Pants, not too short though! Masculine elements with accessories, looser jeans, the decade of the skinny jeans are gone this season. Sportswear and jumpsuits.
Rarely do sport and high fashion have similar aesthetics, but a pair of jogging pants and a smart casual shoe, voila!!!

  10. Thankfully mens fashions do not change as often as womens, but there are details one must still pay attention to:
Polo shirts, casual D-ring belts, flip flops, sunglasses, dark jeans. the perfect jean this season is the Diesel Zathan 71S dark jean.

  16. Very chic, Very classic, very boring...I love seeing more suede boots, something dark chocolate in suede, a tall narrow boot with a thick "Cuban" heel...some substance, what do you think?

  17. I must say I agree!!! This has been done season after season. I love Gucci but they have decided that this is new. the only original were the pumps. They say the ankle boot is the Vogue this winter, so why show a stiletto? Cuban heels are more adapt to New York life.

  18. You know how you get a thought in your head and it won't go away??? I really want a great boot with a Cuban heel, you are right, it would make walking in the city so much easier. I always love ankle boots with a masculine heel and a mini skirt. I still have a great pair from Hermes in black suede.
